Pros

Talented engineers, "able to work from home" - quotes explained in cons. Matched 401k.

Cons

You will get the opportunity to work from home, but your manager will call you at least 3 times to try and get you onsite - even if you requested the day to be WFH and you have no car. Management does not listen, not your needs or concerns. Training is a joke, documentation is impossible. Broken promises throughout our entire acquisition. They bought our amazing company and then destroyed it. Not only did most the staff jump ship after acquisition but so did the clients. Clients realized that this company was going to provide an extremely diminished service from what they had been getting and they all went with a new MSP. Do yourself a favor and apply to any, literally any, other MSP in the area. This one will break your soul.

Pros

Synoptek is a very entrepreneurial firm that allows a great deal of flexibility and ability to grow. There is an ability to grow and learn new technologies but you do have to be driven. This isn't the army who will guide your every step. The vision the company has is spot on for the future, and a there is a great deal of innovation to move forward.

Cons

Due to acquisitions there has been struggle with integration and cultures. Leadership could provide better oversight and actual leadership. Heroic efforts are not sustainable at any level. Sometimes it is hard to wait for change to occur, and it seems it often takes far too long for a company our size. It is often strange to be bigger than a startup and smaller than a fortune 500, where something happen fast and others take forever.

Pros

- Modern thinking in terms of software and hardware, they are not afraid to adopt new software or try new things - Great training incentives in which every employee has the opportunity to attend external training classes, or get paid bonuses for obtaining IT certifications - Lots of opportunity for advancement within the company - Able to work from home when needed

Cons

- Lack of documentation about our clients and our processes - Lack of communication between co-workers and management - Lack of standardization between different company sites, every site seems to do things their own way, has their own tools, etc. - Lack of internal training, they might as well not even have any at the quality they provided - Lack of motivation towards... anything
