Pros

Not bad pay, good benfits

Cons

Horrible, Inexpirenced upper managment. No Rises effective 2009. T-Mobile in NY has fallen apart in the last year. T-mobile has grown dramitaclly and has hired on a ton of inexpirenced market managers who have no idea what they are doing. This company use to be about right fitting the customer, now its about making sure the customers walks out with things they dont need just to hit quota. Due to this we lost our JD Power award in 2008.

Pros

Excellent benefits. Plenty of PTO (you just never are given an opportunity to use it). Pay is fair but lags behind competitors and annual raises have been ended. There are still some great people working for the T-Mobile but they seem to be disappearing. Not a horrible place to work but it was once much, much, better.

Cons

I have been employed at T-Mobile for almost six years. The company has consistently made business decisions that make no sense. Upper management seems to be extremely out of touch with the customers they are attempting to keep. Career opportunities depend on who you can become friends with. Supervisors are often incompetent and have have no idea what is actually going on at store level. Very little recognition. Very little respect or feedback. Best place to work is a top goal every year but it is a joke. They even canceled the annual employee satisfaction surveys. This was once a great place to work but it now is going in a very bad direction.

Pros

benefits (401k, PTO, phone lines etc.) culture, diversity and some Regional Managers who know how to lead. It's fairly easy to get promoted when you start as a sales representative. There are a lot of locations that are opening and that creates a lot of room for growth.

Cons

lack or training for RSMs who want to get to the next level. There is not true career development program. Operations could be more effective and simplified. On boarding experience is not that great for both reps and managers.
