Pros

Opportunity, 401k, health and dental. I do appreciate the paths and growth that can occur at T. Rowe Price. It is a fantastic company.

Cons

The pay at T. Rowe Price is horrible, you are making 33k starting. They do not pay if you have a degree they hire people with diplomas to answer phones.

Pros

One of the best reasons to work at T. Rowe Price is for the benefits. They offer contribution matching of your 401K and stock purchase program, but the tuition reimbursement program has changed so much it's almost not even worth it now. I beleive they match 75% of your tuition and you must pay it back if you do not stay with the company 2 years after you graduate with your degree. The only other pro about T. Rowe is you are almost guaranteed a supervisory or management position if you stay with the company for at least 10 years, but not for any good reason but tenure.

Cons

There are many problems with T. Rowe Price. The management does not communicate well with their employees, change is not promoted, and salaries do not reflect the skill, knowledge and risk of many positions as well as it is not comprable to that of other financial institutions. There are many cases of micro management within the firm and not too many performance promotions occur.

Pros

After interning for just one summer at T. Rowe Price, my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt. The office is not a cutthroat environment and the upper level management makes it a point to interact with employees of all levels. In that sense, lower level employees had an idea of the direction of the company though it was unclear how much a hand they would have in it.

Cons

I found the office to be devoid of competition, which may have been due to what appeared to be a lack of advancement opportunities within the firm. There did not seem to be much room for promotion and employees seemed to be almost too content with whatever role they filled.
