Pros

401k match is great Benefits are a little bit better than what I’ve experienced outside of T. Rowe Price. Usually a higher base salary than other places.

Cons

Annual bonuses provide almost zero incentive. Senior mgmt is clueless and inept. They focus more on their careers than growing the business and their associates. The last 5-8 years the culture has changed from open dialogue and sharing ideas to get on on board or leave. No one shares their honest opinion for fear for getting on the naughty list. If you’re a person of color, good luck, you’re a minority in the leadership ranks. Annual bonuses for sales positions do not motivate staff and it’s based on a stack rank. This means we compete against our peers for a limited amount of money. Bad for a collaborative culture.

Pros

. The benefits are good. Explore all that are available . Opportunities abound. Don't wait until your perfect in your role before looking to transfer, either laterally or with a promotion. . Initiative is encouraged. Don't be shy. . The mentoring program, but you must join in. . The sparkling, flavored water machine and coffee machines were great.

Cons

. Had to wait a year to publicly comment. . If you don't take control of your career, no one else will unless you get favored treatment of a senior manager or mentor. .20+ year tenure. My mistake was not changing roles every 3 to 5 years. I became proficient in most areas of our multi-facited team. I was RIF'd last July. In hindsight, I believe they thought I was to expensive. . Pay was light. . Commute across the beltway stunk. I'm not moving for a job. .RTO seemed too rigid. Talent has been lost. . Supposed to work 40, but more, sometimes many more were needed. Workload across the team and others in the division weren't balanced. Didn't feel compensated for it adequately.
