Pros

The work is rare! You'll be exposed to the niche higher-end of the entertainment industry (concert touring and theme park machine design). Entertainment engineering is fast-paced. Can be fun and thrilling at times. Young average employee age (design dept.) makes for a fun work environment. Recruitment and hiring are diverse. They welcome smart and capable people independent of alma mater or industry.

Cons

Compensation doesn't seem to match the rarity or difficulty of the design challenges. (this is CUSTOM bespoke machinery not legacy OEM design mods) Fast pace can cause burn-out. Young workforce means not a lot of great mentors/managers. Steep learning curve can be daunting. Prioritizes increasing short term project profitability over long term growth(and retention) of employees and internal systems.

Pros

Outstandingly creative minds. They try, and pull off a lot of crazy things. It is a Rockstar Company. Great place to work, and work you will. Long hours with great pay.

Cons

Unless..... you work for a non-rock and roll MBA, You know the one, I went to Yale, I park my big truck in the handicapped spot in front of the building because I am so insecure and cannot manage my bald spot or Human interactions. Then my friend; Run, Run fast, Run Far, Run like Forrest trying to catch Jenny. Because this man is a dingleberry. Just stop before you get to Portland, Oregon, Because that is where he had to move, to get another job. You only want to work for the Long-term Rock Gods. If they are new; and have a bunch of letters after their name, they will be gone in 18 months.

Not enough pay

Pros

Weekends off, fully benefited, small company.

Cons

Too little pay for the work they want if you. They have no real hr to deal with. They make comments like only the “strong survive” when really it’s only the dumb that survive because for that pay it’s a stupidity to stay. Even McDonald employees get paid more.
