Pros

Highly motivated staff Amazing projects Compensates fairly for long hours A desire to stay innovative Some incredibly intelligent people working here

Cons

Stuck in their old ways at points. You can tell there’s like 4-5 people who make the call. They do the thing where they encourage you to speak up and try to improve things but the minute it clashes with what’s the norm you’re essentially told to drop it and move on. Some managers shouldn’t be in charge of people. But that’s typical for most big companies. Very weak vacation package. 14 days off total and only 6 holidays. You can do unpaid leave but it’s subject to approval by management and some managers “don’t believe in that.” It increases 5 days every 5 years, but when you spend 60 hours a week at times, it burns you out quickly.

Pros

Exciting projects with a young and diverse (by central PA standards) workforce. Lately, company leadership has taken an interest in employees which has shown huge results in both morale and quality of output.

Cons

Most employees in this industry would prefer to live near a major metropolitan area, but company headquarters is in Amish country Pennsylvania. Satellite offices in more desirable locations exist, but rarely hire or allow transfers. Until early 2017, every time a leadership position was open, someone external without experience in the company was brought in, and it was usually a disaster. Employees felt like they didn't have opportunity for growth and many of these external leaders were awful. Not true in the last year+, hopefully doesn't happen again.
