      Pros

      Incredible Program and Project Managers TCG has a stellar reputation amongst customers TCG managers are excellent communicators TCG employees are resourceful, flexible, and thoughtful

      Cons

      Easy to be siloed Corporate culture can be suffocating Some managers can be too easy on people, encouraging complacency Corporate culture/communications can be highly unprofessional at times

      Thank you for the specific and useful feedback. While our culture (and our tone) is definitely not for everyone, we hope people generally aren’t upset by it. You clearly were, and we are sad about that. Orientation with the President was extensively revamped in 2019, after receiving constructive feedback from staff (like this!). But it was never an interview and we are sorry you felt that way. Instead, it is an opportunity for the President to get to know each new employee, share the values of the organization, and for the new employee to get to ask any questions they have about the company. We are always working to improve, so this review is helpful. Best of luck to you in your future jobs!

      Pros

      TCG and the Exec team highly value the employees and their work/life balance. The benefits are countless and all are aimed at making the person feel acknowledged, worthy, and happy. Also, great friendships are formed within this company that go beyond just a regular work-relationship. I would highly recommend this company to others! It's a little slice of silicon valley in DC.

      Cons

      I think the salaries and bonuses could stand to be a bit larger. Not that they're bad per say (TCG offers very fair wages), but I also wouldn't consider them extremely competitive either, but they are above average.

      Thanks! I take only one issue with your (much appreciated) review: we want to make Silicon Valley enviously try to be more like TCG. So if you have suggestions for how we can do that, let us know!

      Great place to work!

      Pros

      TCG is committed to it's employees and their success. Corporate staff is always helpful and make you feel like a member of the TCG family. Fun perks for new employees and their commitment to work/family life balance is strong.

      Cons

      There is really no place to go career-wise but that isn't unusual with this type of job. Government consultants go in to projects knowing what is expected of them and promotions usually aren't part of that agenda. The only other "con" I can think of is the health plan choices with such high deductibles - given that TCG pays 100% of the premium, I don't even think it's much of a con. Once the company becomes larger, I think the choices will be better.

      We're troubled, too, that many folks in our industry get pigeon-holed into specific projects, limiting their career progression. In the last 24 months, as well as expanding our work at multiple customers, we have defined career bands for our employees in an attempt to show how great people can develop themselves in our company, and for our government as contractors. That work is ongoing and we're always looking for new ideas. Thanks for highlighting this need, and for any suggestions you may have to address it!
