Pros

Management is very good about letting employees work from home or taking days off last minute Very cordial & polite atmosphere exuded by overall staff Senior management appears to have an open door policy ... receptive to suggestions

Cons

Delegation of supervisory oversight should be a cause of great concern for senior management in NYC. Very few in management know the systems inside and out nor does mgmt understand the procedures or work entailed and assumed by their staff because there is no checks or balances in seeing if the staff is doing what they should be doing correctly (assuming they are even doing it at all)... Slackers get by very easily at TD because it is so difficult to remove them after the initial 90 days...

Pros

TD Bank is known for its convenient hours. As a full-time college student and full-time employee, they were flexible with my school schedule. I give them that.

Cons

I spent 4 years building a relationship with many customers and businesses. I worked very hard, and the upper management did not recognize any of it. The management team at the branch were horrible. They nitpicked and complained about everything, and put themselves before anyone else. It was not fair. I was let go, because of a coversation that was being held and was taken the wrong way. All in all, they are not a good company to work for. There is no career advancement ability, and I would not recommend a job there for anyone. The turnover rate is rediculous, for the amount of time I have spent there and have seen.

Pros

Good Benefits Opportunity to meet many people Well-known company

Cons

I could go on and on about the cons. Working in the call center is a nightmare, to say the least. You go through weeks of training, and you're fooled to think how easy the call center will be and what a great opportunity it is. Then you get there and it's majorly disappointing. It's the kind of job that makes you want to pull your eye sockets out. You sit on the phone and take call after call with only a matter of seconds (if your lucky) between calls. It's very repetitive and frustrating. Customers call and abusively yell at you, and the supervisors are supposed to take those calls, but they sure do put up a fight to take them. You get yelled at about fees and overdrafts all day long. They encourage you to ask questions, but then when you do, the supervisors seem highly annoyed. This job is not all it was originally cracked up to be. I had high hopes going into this and it was definitely not worth the stress. The pay is not bad (if you're looking for a starting job somewhere to get your foot in the door), but it's not worth it for all you have to put up with. The pay is 12.00 an hour, and if you work after 11am, you get 10% differential, so $13.20 an hour. I'm so much happier since I left this hell hole.
