Pros

hire mostly on part time if you are not coming from TD, if you want the full time they will say you have to perform in the 6month period, however it take at least 3 months for training to have all the certificate to be a licensed Investment representative. Therefore it will be difficult for you to be full time if a massive number of full time IR don't leave. Direct investing is not the right department if you want full time hours and you are coming out of TD .you will be full time by the time you finish the course and exams and then turn part time during the period after the tax season.

Cons

now they hire a bunch a people who have never been investment representative before and they want them to teach people who knows their stuff. office culture is relax and fun most of the time
