Office Politics gets in the way

Pros

Great vacation and sick leave. Managers do not micro manage. Good work life Balance (depends on manager)

Cons

The company has changed so that they really seem to only care about shareholder's bottom line. They do many things to "cut costs' that do not make sound business sense and only frustrate employees forcing them to do more work for the same pay. In the past 3 years I have officially weathered at least 4 large layoffs. The company seems follow the latest company best practice phases, using outside consultants and then they take axes to departments without fulling considering the impact on other employees and most importantly their customers.

Pros

TDS does take care of you but you need to make them see you for that to happen or you are just a voice they give money to

Cons

Just outsourced to an unqualified company that does not get the job done that is causing more work for other parts of the company and angering customers

Pros

Decent people, atmosphere, environment, benefits. This was a few years back.

Cons

It's a corporation so, yeah, things vary from position to position and change with regular frequency. All seems well unless you make any waves at all... even asking questions or for help from the wrong people can get you noticed and not in a good way. Once the acronym "HR" comes up. you're TOAST. Just look at the size of the HR department. I am dead serious, these people issue PAGES of updates to the 'employee code of conduct' each QUARTER... you can break company policy by waking up in the morning. Toe the line and you'll be OK... until the next layoff... Even as a customer I've had mixed results. Kicked them out of one site while they have succeeded in another.
