      Pros

      TEGNA is a company that is dedicated to their employees and puts people first. The benefits, salaries, etc are all competitive. Corporate leadership is plugged into the pulse of the stations and isn't solely fixated on ratings and revenue. Of all the TV companies I've been with (4) TEGNA is by far the best for employees.

      Cons

      It's TV news. You're doing less with more and being guided by social media. The general public hates you thanks to the political climate and the pandemic. If you're doing ground level work in a newsroom, it's a lot to handle. TEGNA will support you but it takes a toll mentally.

      Decent start to career in Ad Ops

      Pros

      - work load is easy to manage - great opportunity to learn the foundations of ad ops in the digital space - position is hourly so you get paid overtime when you need to work more than 40 hours

      Cons

      - company is stingy with pay - not much room for career growth within Ad Ops department - unnecessarily strict with certain policies
