      Recruiter took referral, refused to provide referral bonus

      Pros

      Good way to build experience if you are a recent graduate.

      Cons

      Recruiter called me out of the blue for a position. I was not interested, but referred a colleague who was offered and accepted the position. He and I met all requirements necessary for me to receive the referral bonus. However, once I was eligible to receive it, the recruiter suddenly stopped returning my calls. I left messages with others in the office, who said they would check into it and get back to me, but never did.

      Good company to work with if you have no experience coming out of college

      Cons

      Average 60 hour work week, lots of politics, numbers game, must be good friends with all internal employees. Don't expect to have work / life balance, not a place for someone with kids.

      Pros

      TEKsystems does provide great training and perks such as free coffee,an annual tailgate party, holiday parties and for hitting sales goals, a trip to Cancun. Goals are fairly obtainable.

      Cons

      The "building relationships" aspect of the culture is a joke. Leadership and development can vary depending on what department you are in, but mainly it is a "who you know, and who you buddy up with" which determines your success. The pay is WELL BELOW the industry standard. There is not a healthy work life balance whatsoever. You are expected to always do more with less to your own detriment. the turnover is pretty substantial too. Good people have been let got from the company for no valid reason.
