Very bad experience i had with TEK systems recently

In no time they asked me to join since it is an urgent requirement, and they asked me to go to bangalore for two months (Though iam staying in Mumbai). After going to Bangalore every day they were saying still we are discussing with client, don't worry you will be getting salary from the day you came to bangalore to keep me shut. Till one month they were telling the same story. When i pressurized them they told, i can go back to mumbai and they will inform me when to join. I asked for reimbursement of travel expenses and salary for that month. But i didn't get any thing. Now they were saying only travel expenses will get reimbursed even though they promised me to give salary when i went to bangalore.

Good in Minneapolis, Shite in SF

Pros

They're big and they have access to lots of jobs. For a contract house they have decent benefits if you want to exercise them--their health insurance sucks.

Cons

Doesn't seem to be much of a company standard. My experience in Minneapolis/St. Paul over a 9 year period was excellent (dealing with 2-3 different recruiters). San Francisco office is a completely different experience. Lot's of games, stalling, lies--didn't feel like I was ever being dealt with in a straight way. May be due to the individuals I was dealing with.

Contracting Agency, poor benifits, no job security, but it's a job for now.

Pros

It is a source of income for now. Our contact takes us out to lunch now and then, and we can discuss any issues we may have.

Cons

There is a sort of health coverage, but it is poor at best. They don't really provide much to the contractor beyond being the the agency Ericsson requires that we go through in order to get a position. They have not gone much beyond the minimum responsibilities of a contracting agency.
