Pros

Flexible working hours. Employees receive competitive compensation packages including salary, commission/bonuses depending upon position, stock options depending upon tenure and contribution to the company's success, and benefits. It's a safe bet that you'll never find yourself sitting at your desk, bored, while working at Telus. Employees receive competitive compensation packages including salary, commission/bonuses depending upon position. Telus provides ample opportunity to enjoy leisure time, be it through company-sponsored monthly dinners.

Cons

TELUS does not train their people the way they should, and have no plans for achieving future technical expertise, not given every opportunity to succeed. Each employee is responsible for his or her individual growth plan.

Pros

This company has terrific training programs that are great for relatively new employees to the workforce and its mentorship program is also great. They pair you up with extremely smart people and this allows you to learn a great deal while meeting these people's networks. The company itself is very large and this allows for a great deal of flexibility within the company. You can choose and move from areas in finance, consumer solutions, IT etc., and it allows you to develop a great deal while you are at the company. Finally, the pay is great and you can earn alot of money if you stick to the company and are very smart.

Cons

This company is so big that it is easy for young employees have a hard time moving up to executive levels. They pair you up with extremely smart people and this allows you to learn a great deal while meeting these people's networks. The company itself is very large and this allows for a great deal of flexibility within the company, but again you may lose the ability to be promoted quickly. Another major downside with the company, as it is so big, they hire alot of people, and these do not always tend to be the smartest people in the world.
