Pros

At Telus Mobility the best reasons to work for them is the money, the money and the money, Telus offers a high base wage to go along with the excellent commissions structure. Also if you preform well you get extra money on what is called your Star Awards card for meeting your monthly goal, also during certain promotions you get money on your card for doing well on a test or for selling x number of activations. Also your health and life insurance benefits are the best i have received from any employer i have worked for, Telus also offers a EPP ( Employee Purchase Program) program for employees part time and up. To get a corporate handset once a year at a severe discount, on a plan for $15 a month. I love working for Telus for it is a fast paced work environment that strives for professionalism and they compensate you well for providing them with that. Also Telus offers its employees company stock options where they pay so much and you pay so much for your stocks which you can sell in a bind when you need cash.

Cons

Though there are few there are some downsides for working at Telus. First thing i will say is that they sometimes hire certain employees who are not right to work in this field and they will not get rid of said employees in a prompt manner for having low numbers which are far below the designated minimum standards which makes the individual store look bad to the area. Also they sometimes do not give promotions to the people who deserve them as was the case with one of my former co-workers who decided to end his career with Telus for that reason,

Pros

Great benefits, and perks, great co-workers, great wage, opportunity for growth! Great programs to learn, access to books, teaching skills and courses to gain knowledge and move upwards in growth and excellence.

Cons

Large company makes it easy to get lost in the shuffle, the position I'm in gets to be overwhelming at times, focused on stats and sales.

Pros

the people are awesome and a diverse work force is encouraged. the company respects all religions. the company also respects minorities, and all sexual preferances. it realy does care about it's customers. employees are always encouraged to do the right thing, even if it costs the company money. when you screw up its looked at as a learning opportunity even if its detrimental to the company.

Cons

salaries are below average for professionals, lots of politics, business units do not share employees (hard to switch between departments for management without causing political stress). it's a growing compnay that is trying to get away from the old government ownership, and as such, people have a negative attitude towards it. there are lots of growing pains with the transformation to a company that was government owned to a company that has to turn a profit
