Pros

great benefits, vacation time, learned a lot about annuities / retirement accounts

Cons

poor communication between departments, the service/operations is poor, no follow up to the clients on issues, if you're in the call center you're tied to the phone

Pros

The company has a good retirement package and a decent wage structure. Anyone who enjoys working in a strictly structured environment where the process is important and whether the result is acceptable or not is a question best left to others will enjoy and do well in the company.

Cons

Senior management is mired in defending their positions and importance rather than driving the company forward. Failures above the manager level are not recognized, criticism of management or the decisions of management is not permitted.

Pros

Colleagues are intelligent and hard-working. Collaborative work environment for the most part.

Cons

No opportunity for advancement. Keep bringing people in from the outside without giving current employees opportunities for career growth. It's now obvious that management doesn't care about its employees. It's every man for himself.
