Inconsistent Leadership

Pros

Remote work, some caring coworkers. TNTP's incredibly responsive to issues around DEI and cares about making space for everyone to feel included.

Cons

TNTP's leadership -- especially at the Executive Team level -- does an inconsistent job at showing up. In the department I left, it was normal to watch our executive leader text and do work for other calls while we were in team meetings. And it was normal to go weeks without any sort of any interaction from them -- whether that's a chat, email, note, etc. Turnover was at an all time high in my department. I was saying goodbye to a coworker at least every two months, and my team never had more than 15 folks on it at one time. Although you will find support from a coworker or two, expect to watch a revolving door and see low engagement from leadership.

Getting worse over time

Pros

The benefits are pretty good

Cons

Leadership and management are out of touch with reality. Micromanagement is a common occurrence and they do not practice what they preach in terms of best practice. There is limited to no opportunity for growth and when there is growth, they will take advantage of you. Some execs can't take constructive criticism and will go on personal crusades to drive you out.

This is how we do it culture

Pros

You'll have smart go-getters as colleagues. Senior leadership however is often lacking in skills.

Cons

A burn and churn culture is what they're all about - and not open to new ways of doing things.
