Pros

I was able to get hands on experience.

Cons

Management is the perfect storm of incompetence and laziness. Most have no business being in the position they are in. They have zero technical skills and flounder around like a fish out of water. They pride themselves on having their workers work long hours and weekends doing work that they themselves are incapable. 90% of machines do not even have drawings. Too short sighted and apathetic to see/care about the long term damage they are causing. Only care about quarterly profits. Vested 401k doesn't reach maturity for 5 years. Horrible morale. I have never worked at a job so universally despised by the workers. Low pay. They do not want to pay people what they are worth, then complain that 'Nobody wants to work'

Pros

Strong sense of community work environment, slower paced(can be a pro or con). Pay is fair based on work load/ responsibilities. Flexible & understanding management. If you are not physically active you will gain weight(can be a pro or con).

Cons

Repetitive, unfulfilling work. Can be a dead end job if you are not driven or have interest in the automotive field, being willing to just work hard is not enough to continue learning in this environment. You must make continuous leaps & collaborations to outside departments & groups to continue learning once training had come to a close. You must take on tasks outside of your direct working items and show interest in all aspects of the job and company. In addition putting forth continuous thought and effort outside of the job will increase chances of success . Must not have a soft exterior, due to the boys club mentality. Must show respect to everyone and be professional in all aspects of job or you will be gossiped about daily. Do not overshare or you will be talked about.
