Officers take abuse in a daily basis. Superiors only care about passengers and stake holders. Advancements are based on "who you know"

"Federal Job." Medical benefits for those who are part-time. Excellent benefits. It looks great to have the Department of Homeland Security on your resume.

Cons

Dealing with extremely rude passengers on a regular basis and not having the support of supervisors or management. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians.
