Pros

Financially healthy company, job security, management that cares about employees. I find it disconcerting that there are some really negative reviews. I've been here long enough to know that many of the complaints are patently false. This company's leadership cares about their employees.

Cons

Lower than average pay. I know an annual market pay review is done, but I don't believe it reaches everyone. A lot of people seem to fall through the gaps when it comes to compensation, and management seems to do little to correct it.

You've certainly seen some change in TSP since you've been with us for more than 3 years. We really appreciate you taking the time to write a review and certainly for your dedicated years of service. You bring up a known-entity and seemingly reoccurring theme regarding pay. Thank you for acknowledging that we do a market review annually; however, you are absolutely right, simply doing a market review isn't the end-all-be-all. The problem with market data is matching up that third-party market data to our positions and job titles. People can and do fall through the gaps and we need to get better at this. The economy and job market has changed considerably since the great recession and employees hired during that down-time probably were hired on at a much lower rate. That's no excuse to make sure we are rewarding our employees both financially and otherwise. Thank you again for your years of service and taking the time to write a review and let us know your pros, cons, and advice to management. Please also don't be afraid to bring up your pay with your leadership team. They are your first line and should be made aware if this is a personal concern for you. If they don't listen and can't help, please reach out to one of our dedicated talent management representatives.

Good for an entry level but not to have a career

Pros

I started here as an entry level position where I learned so much in a short period of time. Was motivated enough to push myself to give more and to try to move up the ladder

Cons

TSP's thinking is to promote from within, which sounds great!! but the truth is they want to take advantage of you in every possible way!! for them it's easy to hire someone from inside because it costs them nothing. no raise or very little comes with a promotion. So you can dream all you want, work hard, study hard to move up, just so you discover at the end that, you gonna be underpaid and reaching out to the hiring managers after xyz months from being promoted gets you nowhere, because simply they just don't care.

First let us say thank you for taking the time to write a review and express your thoughts and concerns. We do pride ourselves on our ability to take entry-level resources and move them up the chain to bigger and better things, both professionally and personally. It definitely sounds like we still have some work to do on the fulfillment end of this, especially from a monetary perspective with your particular situation. We hate to hear the comment, "they just don't care" because that is certainly not the message our leadership team is encouraged or should be sending. We sincerely hope this is an isolated incident; however we are looking into his currently. If you haven't already, I would highly recommend you bring your concern to your management team or a member of the talent management team (tsp_hr@mytsp.net) and see if we can't get to the bottom of this. With respect to pay rates, we maintain a market list of all our job title and job families/structures that are updated at least annually from an unbiased third-party. Customer requirement and contracted rates also come into play when determining competitive pay. We adhere to a total compensation approach at TSP which takes into account our health and retirement benefits and PTO combined with a competitive wage. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention and please engage your manager and/or our talent management team.

Very Good Job

Pros

TSP has a great working environment, fair compensation, above average benefits package, and promotes from within. It was a pleasure working here.

Cons

The only thing I didn't like was that it seemed they got pushed around a little when it came to demands of the customer. Of course I (or any others on the team) didn't know all the details of the contract and relationship so it's easy to say that without having all the facts.

Thank you very much for taking the time out of your day to write a review on your time with TSP. We really appreciate the kind words and obvious thought you put into it. While you say, "it was a pleasure working here," we say, "it was our pleasure to have you work with us." Seeing as TSP is a service-only company, our customers can sometimes be pushy and very demanding (then again, what customers aren't?). We try to always balance customer needs with TSP's vision, culture and mission; often-times we are very successful in this, sometimes we are not. We very much appreciate the acknowledgement that sometimes we don't know the full extent of the details or contracts. We wish you the absolute best in your future, and thank you again for your time while at TSP!
