Hello and thanks for providing us and the Glassdoor community your concise feedback and insight into your time spent with TSP so far. We're glad to hear about your pros — the things you listed are things we take great pride in offering to all of our #TSProckstars. We only hire the best and brightest, we provide numerous training and advancement opportunities, and we strive to be as flexible as possible. You brought up a valid point. We try our absolute best to be as competitive as possible with our pay and compensation, but there are times in which the pay is dictated by client bill rates — but again, we try our hardest to advocate for the best possible solution for both employee and client. On the hand, there are a number of other aspects that our employees love — the aforementioned benefits, our 401K program, our Seeds to Leads program, our free training and certifications via Rockstar U, and especially the flexibility. Furthermore, to counter any pay discrepancies , several years ago we put into place a system to notify our management team of an employee who has not had a pay increase in the previous year. As a direct result, the number of employee change forms being submitted and approved last year with just under $1M in merit increases being awarded to our deserving employees. And you raise another valid point — reviews on CSC. While we do not post any employee specific reviews on CSC, we do feature many employee-submitted reviews on CSC via the MILE program (Made It Look Easy). Without getting too into the weeds about the submission process on Glassdoor, I'd recommend speaking to your manager to learn more about the submission and recognition process for those reviews on CSC. Thanks again for providing us all your thoughts and insight — we value it greatly!

Pros

Everyone is friendly and very easy to reach out to, engineers will look out for each other and guide each other through tough tasks. You will be well fed if you ever go to the corp office in Dallas, TX.

Cons

Management makes zero effort to ensure their engineers do not get overworked. You will also be responsible for tasks not fully explained during the interview process, such as being responsible for shipping defective parts, you will end up feeling like a part time courier, among other things that will take pages to describe. No chance at an annual raise, as no annual reviews are ever held, leaving you in the dark as far as knowing how much you have progressed. Work/Life balance can be very one sided towards work, you will deal with customer and support channels that have unrealistic expectations of work that needs to be delivered, and you are expected to resolve scheduling conflicts, part delivery issues, managing tickets for your area (when on pager) etc... All of this while being underpaid in comparison to other professionals who perform similar work .They can spin this any way they want, but it is painfully clear just by working with customers that engineers for this company are well underpaid.

Thanks for taking the time to provide us, as well as the Glassdoor community, a solid look into your experiences. We take great pride in the people we hire, as we say constantly, we value top technical expertise and we only hire the best and brightest, putting our clients first and hiring the best people to ensure things get done right. So, we're glad to hear that our #TSProckstars look out for one another. We are a little confused about your comment on being well-fed at the office as we actually haven't had an office since about February of 2020, about 18 months or so — but you're right, if any field employees did come to visit before we transitioned to remote work, we'd do our best to make sure they were, in fact, fed. In regards to your feedback surrounding pay, we conduct extensive market research constantly to ensure the compensation offered is as good as it possibly can be — if it wasn't, we'd constantly be losing out on the best employees, but we're not — there's a reason that we're considered by some of our clients as being the best kept secret in the IT space. With that said, there are some instances in which pay is dictated by client bill rates, and in those circumstances, we make every honest effort to ensure rates are reviewed every renewal cycle. You bring up a great point, monthly team meetings is a great idea — have you brought this up to your manager? Unfortunately, due to the anonymous nature of Glassdoor, I'm not sure who your manager would be, but we strongly encourage open discussions with your managers, including your request to hold monthly meetings. Often times, meetings can be seen as a complete waste or everyone's time, e.g., "this could've been an email..." — however, if you have legitimate concerns, those are often times best addressed in a one-on-one setting between you and your manager. If you don't feel as though you're able to have that open discussion with your manager, then please reach out to Talent Management. Thanks again for your review and insight — it is appreciated.

Hello and thanks for taking the time to provide both TSP as well as the Glassdoor community at-large your thoughts on your year spent with us so far. It's great to hear that you find value in the things we very much try to afford our employees — a solid work/life balance, good people, and better benefits — those are awesome things to hear. Unfortunately, I hear you about some of your vents. To counter any pay discrepancies , several years ago we put into place a system to notify our management team of an employee who has not had a pay increase in the previous year. As a direct result, the number of employee change forms being submitted and approved last year with just under $1M in merit increases being awarded to our deserving employees. Please keep in mind that this entire platform is anonymous, so I have no idea who you are or the work you do, so I'm not stating that your work has or has not been worthy of a raise in your year with us, but I am saying that if you feel it has, we empower our employees to have direct conversations with their managers to petition for a raise if they feels its deserved. We value the work you do and the skills you bring to TSP, after all, we live by our motto — our product is our people. I would highly recommend having a conversation with your manager — layout the reasons you feel a merit raise is due. Thank you again for being one of our #TSProckstars.
