Pros

you can work from home if you apply for that kind of position, very easy to get a job with them, seems like most of the people I work with on a daily basis lied about their skillset to get a job where you work from home. This is a great job for someone who just needs a little money in their pocket and a start to their career or just something in the mean time while looking for an actual job.

Cons

Team leads and management only care about metrics numbers no matter what that means. Being honest with the customer is a big NO. Products supported are by contract only through companies like Logitech, so you have a massive division of departments causing very lengthy processing of simple things like a return. The tools that you use are semi outdated if you are already use to working in tech. The tools have issues on a daily basis and the employees take full advantage of that, they will say they have an issue with their tools when they really dont so they can just sit there and do nothing but still get paid. You are the only point of contact for customers since all departments having to do with returns refunds and replacements are taken care of by the company that contracts teletech for the tech support. This causes unreasonable amount of time to process things. when I started it took maybe 5 days to get a replacement done from start to finish, months later it takes about 2, 3, sometimes 4 weeks to get processed since more people have bought the product and realize its terrible. No room to move up, company is obviously sexist leaning more towards hiring women who are under-qualified, and then promoting them into a management position that is designed for failure. All trainers, team leads I have worked with are female and they all seem to have very little management skills, demonstrated by the way they treat and threaten your job when you cannot get an unrealistic amount of work done in an unrealistic time frame. Managers use threats of firing you to get you to over work yourself on an unrealistic case load that no one can get done correctly in a timely manner. Full time is considered 30 hours a week and no more. part time is anything under 25 hours a week. Pay is about 12 an hour could be more or less depending on the company contracting the work. very convoluted work environment, a lot to keep track of, coworkers cant retain information so they constantly need help with things. training was a joke compared to what you are actually doing. They hired more people for my group and it seemed like they didnt train them at all on the product we support so they had questions about every single thing including how to use the tools they were supposedly trained to use.

Pros

You get hired fairly quickly compared to other companies, you work from home, you have weekends off and some of the Team Leads are awesome to work for.

Cons

Training is 1 day at best and the rest of the time you have to deal with technical issues, then you're thrown out there on the calls without a clue of what you're doing. I never even got to work for one campaign due to all the technical issues!

Pros

Work from Home is a decent aspect.

Cons

MANY, MANY, MANY.........For starters, they seem to pick and choose what calls they are going to "review" you on. Usually the bad ones, which, in the real world, would be a good thing. However, in THIS case you simply get chastised about it. No real help on improvement. If you are having some sort of issues with THEIR programs you are required to call their ""technical support"". First off, good LUCK with getting someone that speaks reasonable English. Secondly, they want you to CLOCK OUT while doing this. Which CAN AND DOES often take two to three hours as the ""technical support"" works their way through THEIR programs to resolve the issue. If THEY deem it to be an issue on THEIR end then, and ONLY then, will you get paid for the time. And they ALWAYS, ALWAYS try to tell you it's YOUR system causing the mess up. ((I have an attorney looking in to the legalities of this practice)) I was written up for having a bad phone call. Well, throughout the training I had a hard time even understanding the SECOND trainer that we had. English, from what I could figure out, was her SECOND language. So it was hard for me to figure out just what the heck was going on. ""Classes"" are over a VOIP connection and are online ALL the time. That, in and of itself, is just fine. Eventually, I was cut back to almost no hours due to the slow time of the year for this Big Nationwide Electronics Company. All of a sudden you'll get an email stating that the hours you had already planned to be working have been changed to an "MTO" ((Mandatory Time Off)) or a "VTO" ((Voluntary Time Off)) status. YOU are not even ASKED if you want this "VTO" or "MTO" time. It's just assigned. I received MULTIPLE phone calls and emails on my days off at the end of this debacle wanting me to call for a "meeting". I already had a feeling what it was about so I MADE THEM WAIT until I was SCHEDULED to be logged in. Well, I was let go for being TWO MINUTES late coming back from a ten minute break. The excuse was that I had that prior write-up on top of it. But, REALLY, two friggin' minutes? Pay would be good IF they actually gave you the hours that are repeatedly promised during training. Benefits MIGHT be good if they provided you with anything to actually read through AT HOME. You are NOT allowed to download, save, or otherwise keep ANY of the information provided. Of course they say that you can log in and look at it. But not one THEIR time. That's for sure. Be forewarned before taking the position with the Big Electronics Company. If you're NOT LIKED by the "Team Leaders" they can, AND WILL, find a reason to let you go. I don't think that anyone that I trained with is still there. There were 28 people that started the training. By the end of that we were down to, I believe, 8 or 9.
