1. They don’t pay you or give you the hours they advertise. It ends up being a total crapshoot.
2. Teammates get very competitive and will threaten you.
3. You have no support although you are micromanaged by someone who will be doing the same job you are after you leave and they got the bare minimum in training to be over you.
4. There is no HR. Only what they call Human Capital. HC is their version of HR which is very removed from any feeling of being personable and makes you feel like an object that they own. They fix no problems, just pretends to “investigate,” although they will tell you that you won’t get any updates and nothing ever changes no matter how serious the violation, so basically they do nothing. HC is the main problem at TTEC. They protect people who they refer to as diversity hires and do not care about ADA accommodations or any employee in general that isn’t in their little group. Everyone is well aware of this as it’s been going on for years. HC doesn’t even turn on their camera when they talk to you, but expect yours to be on which is so dehumanizing. HC is a master at making you feel like trash.
5. 8 punches on your time card a day that must be exact or they will fire you no matter how long you’ve been there or how good your performance is. I have never in my life had to clock out for a 15 minute break, but they watch you by the second.
6. ASD, their tech support, are not well trained and have no idea what they are doing. You just sit there listening to farm animal noises for two hours and then they say they have to send you a new computer so you will miss a few days of work.
7. Your team leads are in a competition and you WILL feel it. You will be “coached” and by that, I mean pulled into a room and screamed at for not selling to someone who strictly asked to be transferred and did not want to change their plan or some other ridiculous reason.
8. The team leads are just agents like you who take calls the rest of the year so they are no help.
9. Don’t worry about training. It’s the worst of any company out there. You will learn everything on the floor.
10. They tell you there is room for growth, but there is not. You will be going nowhere. Actually, you will probably be hired at a higher salary and then be dropped down a few dollars an hour if they decide to keep you at all.
11. It is the most mentally unhealthy work environment I have ever seen. We had agents who were fully suicidal over the treatment they were receiving and no one cared.
12. Lots of agents will be abusing FMLA for the most idiotic reasons to be able to take breaks when lever they want, so really, everyone should do the same.
13. I could go on all day, but be aware that management follows suit to the ideology of the good ol’ boys club without regard for the mental wellbeing of any agents. You are disposable to them and they will treat you as such.
