      Pros

      Pretty good benefits if you're making enough to pay for them. Federal holidays are a plus. A few nice folks who care.

      Cons

      Management is not very interested in fair treatment of employees-partiality is very prevalent. It really is WHO you know and not WHAT you know. Raises are not even cost of living, and management is not trustworthy. Work hard for little reward.

      Pros

      Competitive salaries and ample time off. TVA has a long history of being one of the best places to work in the region.

      Cons

      Under the leadership of Bill "I'm just like you, but richer" Johnson, TVA has been steadily removing benefits, and laying off employees. They no longer offer a pension plan, gym benefits, or remote access reimbursement. Constant reorgs lead to an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty.

      Pros

      Some great co-workers. Good benefits.

      Cons

      Complete lack of transparency with leadership. VP promotes and surrounds herself with friends from her past who have less experience than current employees. Running theme is that you have to spend time with leadership outside of work, otherwise you are stuck. The excuse of.. this is how things really work … gets old.
