No incentives, less career mobility

No development, no training, no accountability, poor planning. There is little to no opportunity to advance, nearly 50% turnover. They use "ok" equipment, and are extremely happy with "ok". For the most part management is on time and leaves on time, sticking the employees with the consequences of their poor planning, making you work endless hours overtime while they are home with the family. That is their idea of "work life balance", you work, while I have a life. Management is always scrambling to find someone to do something that was due yesterday. The more you give the more they will take, the harder or better you work the more "other" peoples work you will end up doing, as a bonus - you get to watch them do nothing. When they need something it's "Hello my friend" when you need something it's "No, you understand, it's only business". Raises, bonuses, promotions are all reserved for the friends and family or people whom they owe favors. Before the current regime, raises and bonuses were common, now they are nonexistent. They claim they aren't doing well on this hand, then brag about how well they are doing to other companies, magazines, etc. They even maintain 2 health plans, 1 for corporate which is really good, and 1 crappy one for the entire rest of the company, which they refuse to change despite receiving numerous complaints from multiple offices, claiming there are far better plans locally.
