Cons

! Failure to embrace cloud/SaaS crippled competitive position. ! Loss of sales executive and driving force Kelly Wright. - Founders cashing out of stock, disengaged from company. - Second string, nepotist, discriminatory management. Toxic Microsoft ideology. - Huge technical debt, deteriorating dev and support teams. - Saving a few bucks by recruiting third string (technical) talent. - Unattractive stock, no 401k match. - Tenuous balance sheet due to ballooning expenses, overbuilding, and exposure to commercial real estate.

Pros

- There are some talented, motivated, truly brilliant people at Tableau. - Product centric culture does a great job of getting everyone aligned behind a single vision and purpose. - Professional development—they're not afraid to spend money if you're genuinely curious and interested in learning new things.

Cons

- Compensation—you will not be paid well. - They're filling the middle with people managers that are unwilling and unable to execute even the most cursory tasks. - The extremely relaxed management style enables under-performers to skate by, which places an unnecessary and unfair burden on their top-performing peers.
