Pros
If you are looking to gain experience in a lot of different areas, then Software Technology is honestly a great place to start your career. If you do well, you can quickly achieve an increase in pay along with experience in other areas of the software and sometimes other departments. The best part about working at STI is the people. It is very easy to make friends and develop relationships. Your co-workers will help you get through the day, not only because everyone works together and is very productive, but also because they are not afraid to make you laugh and have a good time. For the most part, I enjoy coming into work every day. It is definitely nice to work for a smaller company. You don't feel like just another body in a chair.
Cons
While working for a smaller company is nice, at times, your opportunities could be limited. If you apply yourself, you will definitely have plenty of opportunities within your first few years but those may come to a halt purely because there aren't enough positions available to keep you moving. It is also very possible for a position to be repetitive. So just apply yourself to avoid this as much as possible and to experience diversity.
