Pros

If you need some extra cash to go to the movies while in high school, this is a good job for you. If your living on your own, you may need a better job. As a high school student, your hours could fluctuate and not hurt you. Taco Bell hires people with little or no college and people with criminal records.

Cons

The job pays terrible, raises are rare and you work very hard for little money. When you need a day off work, you have to request it off with a few weeks notice. If you need to call in sick, you must find your own coverage for your shift. Because there is such a small staff, it is impossible to call anybody without putting them on overtime. My biggest paycheck from Taco Bell was $700. I worked so many hours to get it and the next week my hours were cut and my check was $400. Very inconsistent.

Pros

It's a job, you get paid, and it's not terrible. The team atmosphere helps a lot, though this may vary by location.

Cons

There isn't a lot of room for career growth beyond your local location. Work tends to be a bit grungy.
