Pros

There is good communication throughout the firm, especially better than what I have previously experienced when it comes to communicating with associates and receiving feedback from associates.

Cons

The cons are the typical law firm cons - billable hours, not paid enough for hours worked, and limited resources when it comes to crunch time. Further, while unlimited vacation time sounds like a plus, it just means no one takes vacation.

Good Employer for Support Staff to Large Corporate Law Firm

Pros

Clear expectations, good communication with supervisor, access to law resources, and good work environment. My position is not necessarily a 'career', but that is explained up front. This position allows for us to get more knowledge of the workings of a law firm and attorneys, as many in this position are contemplating attending law school.

Cons

Though much of the work was known in advance, there were times when work came in that needed to be done '30 minutes ago'. This happens in all work environments, so it's not a big deal - it's all in how you respond to it.
