Pros

Leadership is very responsive to the demands of the workforce. due to a recent engagement survey, the Agency discovered some areas in which we can improve. As a result, they implemented pay increases to our lowest paid staff, clarified the current PTO policy and allowed the workforce to take a vote on it and much more. Having the opportunity to be a part of the some of the leadership conversations, it is clear they have a true interest in the health and well-being of staff. To be honest, the leadership team is receptive to the changes the newer generations are ushering into the environment. An organization that doesn't welcome change is dead. I imagine that if we keep in the same vein as we have been, we'll be around and thriving for many more years to come!

Cons

Work life balance can be low when working in the social services industry, overall. This is nothing specific to Talbert House. Talbert House truly trusts its employees to speak up when feeling overworked and take initiative in delegating or taking training and development courses as aid in managing their responsibilities.

Pros

Since starting with Talbert House in 2018 I have been able to watch this agency grow and reach out to our community and make a difference in such a positive way. It is amazing to see our 5 different service lines make such an impact in so many areas. Talbert House's Service Lines are Mental Health, Addictions, Community Correction, Housing and Community Care. I have witnessed our staff assist some one in need at a bus stop and also a coworker in need after a rough time. There are numerous examples of Talbert House employees going the extra mile to make our community a better place. That is what I truly enjoy about my work place.

Cons

We are a large agency and I am still learning what all the programs we offer. The up side of this is the growth potential for ones career.
