Where do they get their upper management team from the circus?

Great sales associates who go above and beyond with customer service and product is starting to improve

Cons

Poor DM and regional management team that are only focused on numbers. It's very hard to move up from within they company they hire from outside Talbots people that have no idea how the company works. They should realize how long associates have been with the company and how hard management team and sales associates work in the store and promote these people.

Pros

Young managers, fun, patient with instruction and dedicated, happy in their roles. The dayforce software is fairly good at allowing you to see your schedule and set availability.

Cons

Employees are asked to vacuum dressing rooms, dust, take out garbage. The eating area is tiny and unclean, dirty rug and a huge trash can near where you eat. There is rigorous oversight of clocking in /out. You can only clock in 3 minutes before your shift. Our hours are frequently cut.

- decent discount if you are interested in the clothing - generally nice people working there - positive environment

Cons

- no commission, but they still make sales into a competition - if you are young, it is more difficult to sell because client is generally in an older age group - many customers are unsatisfied with some of the changes the company has made to fit of clothes
