Pros

Talbots provides a positive working environment. The insurance offered by Talbots is as good as or better than most others in the same industry. Compensated time off is as good as or better than others in the same industry. Turnover in middle and senior management is low, which helps morale. Talbots often promotes from within.

Cons

Communication from senior management doesn't always happen in a timely manner. Decisions affecting stores are sometimes not made in a realistic way. Talbots has in the past lagged behind other retailers in making technological upgrades and keeping up with changing fashions. However, this is changing.
