Pros

Great team, very professional and committed to their work. Customers are pleasant to work with, and knowledgeable about the brand. Quality apparel, modest employee discounts.

Cons

The compensation does not match the level of commitment required. Also, an annual fundraiser designed to assist 'women in financial need' (many of them single parents) seemed ironic given the hourly wages of so many of Talbots employees who are struggling to make ends meet on one income. Finally, employees are encouraged to wear the most current styles, but it is an unrealistic request, considering the product price points, compensation rates and employee discounts.

Pros

Flexible schedule. Great in-store management. Love co-workers and clients. Breaks and lunches are consistently given/included in all shifts. Our store is very large so we have something for everybody. Love that employees now receive classic awards benefits.

Cons

Inconsistent craftsmanship/quality of products makes selling a challenge. Even the same manufacturers are inconsistent within the product they provide (sizing mostly). Day force scheduling tool doesn't provide the convenience it should.

Pros

They offer great pay Excellent bonus system 50-60% discount 40 hours of paid sick time 2 weeks of vacation to start out

Cons

Very little training The chain of command is constantly disintegrating. Constantly changing upper management Minimum of two employees in store at all times causes constant problems.
