With the Riverstone purchase I can't think of a good reason to work at Talen Energy in the IT department.

Cons

The new IT management is stripping away most of the IT department. IT is not a core component for the company.

The pay is great but that is where the pros end.

Cons

Company is in constant state of transition. Lay offs in all areas so no more job security and no openings to move up or laterally.
