Pros

It is a great example of the results of bad housekeeping. It is surrounded by the great town of Colstrip which is very family friendly. Free town gym and golf course.

Cons

Talen already bailing out of Montana. So lacking in desire to correctly run the place that a unit outage is cancelled this year. That doesn't bode well for the safety of the IBEW 1638 members, not well at all. Outages are scheduled for very good reasons.

Pros

Decent pay and benefits. The benefits used to be better, but times have changed.

Cons

Hard core good 'ol boy network in effect. If you don't know someone and aren't part of the "click" then your chances for advancement are pretty much nil. Senior Management also seems to have a perpetual issue of promoting those people that are completely unqualified for the next level position.
