Pros
Reasonable entry into the field for beginning professionals, exposure to software used commonly by hospitals and other healthcare providers, experience in mental health crisis, assessment, & de-escalation. Quality clinical supervision provided by excellent LPC, CPCS/clinical director.
Cons
Pervasive nepotism, stressful, sometimes petty work environment, unrealistic expectations of management, persistent lack of organization and sufficiently trained staff members to approach fulfillment of productivity expectations. Contracted hospitals become frustrated when staff are unable to keep pace with their needs due to call-outs, walk-ins, etcetera.
