Pros

Fast paced work environment with lots of smart people. Target has a nice facility to work at and they offer flexible hours. They do a lot to develop you in your role and want to help you succeed. Collaborative environment where almost any project team is spread across multiple areas. The scale of Target allows you to make really small changes that exponentially help.

Cons

Growing toxic environment post security breach for IT team members. It may get better with the new leadership in place. Contractors are not treated well. Offshore resources often require Minneapolis workers to work odd hours to get projects completed. As an engineer, you don't get to perform much engineering work. Teams are in silos so you often need 3-4 teams to troubleshoot a given issue.
