Pros

Target has massive resources that allows it the freedom that a smaller company could only dream of. Many great co-workers made working there worth it

Cons

Company is re-building and still has a long way to go as a massive ship takes time to turn, IT is in shambles and will be for at least a year

Pros

Overall Target is a great company, they make amazing products and generally you work with very talented people. They only hire the best so the young talent is particularly impressive. They have made some poor choices in the last 5 years but I firmly believe the direction they are headed currently is going to get them back on top. The full package (benefits, pay, etc) is pretty average, nothing impressive unless you are headhunted and some experience under your belt.

Cons

Target is a corporation so it is unlikely you will feel your personal contributions make a difference. They are so big a lot of poor performers and bad decisions get lost in the shuffle. There are people there that are all talk that continue to get promoted because they know how to play the game. The company is not very diverse because of the location, I think that is changing though.

Pros

Target has great opportunities with a great mix of work life balance. I appreciate that there are opportunities to move across the company and try out different roles. The culture is young and fresh and hip. HQ is in downtown Minneapolis so many team events take advantage of the surroundings with aides to the FFF (fast, fun, and friendly culture).

Cons

With the young culture also come clickiness. This sometimes prevents opportunities to move up based on personal opinions. Additionally, I was encouraged to engage in network activities as part of FFF by my direct manager, but upon switching teams I was not supported and this prevented me from further career opportunities. Also pay is mediocre and vacation is not good as it matches what is granted to store employees.
