Pros

You get a 10% discount, but you have to use cash.

Cons

You will never get full time hours, so you're basically only making as much as full time at a minimum wage job for ten times the work. During the holiday season you'll have to come in at ridiculous hours in the morning. It's a lot of hard labor, everyone is bitter, and they expect way too much from you in an eight hour shift. And then once January hits your hours drop to almost nothing until about May. Even making $15 an hour and working myself to death for the entire year, according to my W2 I only made $19000 last year. After coming in at 2 AM for a Black Friday we shouldn't even have had during the pandemic, and coming in at 4 am countless other days. It's not worth it. You also can't ask people to wear their masks in the store. This company throws up that big red "FIFTEEN AN HOUR" everywhere to make you think it's a great job. It isn't. There are way better jobs out there.

Pros

The best experience I could have received right out of college. No other company would give you the amount of responsibility and autonomy that Target did. You become a true business owner of your area, while also learning how to be a leader. Looking back, it was the best 5 years of development and growth I experienced and truly shaped how I lead today. Also the people you work with are amazing! You have all walks of life from first time jobs to I'm just here to keep busy. You get to meet amazing people and Target really tries to make the work fun.

Cons

First job out of college, hard to get over the holidays and weekends when you start wanting to grow a family. That was my reason for leaving. Also after ETL, there is limited opportunities. You could jump to another department, but those are more lateral moves. At some point you had to ask yourself is this it for me? However, I would say leaders and managers are so flexible with you. They know if you put in extra time and effort to recognize you with flexibility. The culture at every store is also different. Depending on which store you are at, so that could really impact your experience.

Pros

Nice coworker that’s it honestly

Cons

This place will work you like a slave. Less pay and hours to make it hard to pay bills and get by. Management is unrealistic on expectations
