Pros

Overall Target had an overall good work ethic. Their benefits were good and the management was very helpful. Hardly any problems being a retail store.

Cons

Very little pay, they will cross train you with out any desire to increase income. Scheduling conflicts because they hire minors and they have to leave before 9 p.m.

Pros

Working at Target was very rewarding. I took away some excellent experience in cashiering and customer service. The options for cross training range almost throughout the entire store (excluding specialty jobs such as: pharmacy consultant, loss prevention team lead, store manager, etc.). What I most value about my Target job experience was how flexible they were with their employees as far as scheduling, work centers, and opportunities within the store.

Cons

What I would consider cons about Target are how long it takes them to adopt new policies concerning areas of controversy. Being from Washington I believe they could have adopted a much more proactive policy concerning gay/lesbian marriage support as well as the state approved marijuana legality. When they speak out against a certain group of people they lose huge customer bases that do not support the definition of a company (make money and create a welcoming atmosphere to all customers).
