Pros

Very clean, organized and structured environment. Great if you need a job fast to make a few bucks.

Cons

Lousy, lousy pay scale and benefits are not all that it's cracked up to be (you're entitled to the Benefits Program, but not if you're a part-timer (less than 40 hrs), and of course, no one ever gets a full 40 hr schedule for very long - unless it's during the holidays and they need more bodies in the store. Oh, did I mention that the pay is lousy..and the raises are a joke. (considering the amount of profit in just 1 store, yes, I counted it, personally, during holiday season and off-holiday season) The employee incentives within this company are nearly non-existent. (just my observations)

Pros

flexible with scheduling, easy to request time off some really fun people to work with sometimes good hours a week i would recommend target as a temporary job because it is very good work experience and is not bad for 1-2 years. looks good on a resume. 45 minute lunch and 15 minute breaks

Cons

-over worked, underpaid. -extremely high work load and do not schedule enough people to help get job done. (ive stayed hours unpaid after my shift and worked through unpaid lunches) -the management picks favorites and will give .60-.70 cent raises while leaving everyone else with only .06-.09 cent raises regardless of work performance. -reviews are always very bad even if you work your behind off. -management is terrible, i have LOD's (leader of department) who will laugh and make fun of you, or will stand around and micromanage while you are extremely busy or helping a guest. very unprofessional. -HR picks favorites as well and if you are mistreated they will ignore or retaliate if you make a complaint about a co-worker. - zero recognition for hard work. -in this bad economy it seems like the company will treat you badly because they know you cant leave. -hours will be very high one week (4-5 eight hour shifts) and extremely low the next. (1-2 three hour shifts) -new people get more hours than people who have been around longer. probably because they are being paid less.
