Pros

Management experience is beneficial and team member interaction is positive and helpful for personal and store development. Learning how to structure priorities is value added.

Cons

work/life balance is non exisitant. management has no realistic understanding of daily opperations. goals set are mostly unattainable. expectations are too varried and non consistent. compenstation is not enough. hours worked are horrible and missrepresented in pay. leadership status are a waste of time and only sole purpose is to add to HR documentation trail innitiative. professional development is not value added. horrible place to work.

Pros

You get a 10% discount on everything in the store, including clearance. The job itself, once I learned it, was extremely easy. Not a real strict dress code, good atmosphere (for the most part).

Cons

Pay is minimum wage, at least starting out. I only worked for a seasonal positional so I don't know how much pay raises are, etc. I had literally about two minutes of "training." I had to learn everything as I went, and the leaders would act annoyed most of the time if I needed to ask a question. If a customer made a fuss because they claimed something was on sale, even if it wasn't, nearly every time I was told just to give them the discount. I was told at one point to give someone a $150 item for 50% because they don't like to argue with the guest (Target's term for customers). I hope my experience working at Target was limited to the location I worked at. I do not understand how they could make money otherwise with all the discounts I was made to give out.
