Pros

Environment. Other team members are really amazing. Of course you'll run into the movitated and the not so motiavted but if you can stay focused the pros definately outweigh the cons. Compensation packages are good for just college graduated job seekers. Opportunities for advancement do actually exist and extreme promotions to promising employees can be made within the first 3 years.

Cons

Hours are long, but the environment is very inviting. Fellow employees do a great job at making new employees feel welcome. Might be hard to start during the seasonal period of November - January but if you could start in march you would feel adequately trained to do your job by crunch time.

Pros

The internship program at its corporate headquarters was run very well. There was two weeks of training, which was extremely helpful and informative. During the following eight weeks, I was definitely exposed to what a Business Analyst's role entailed. I got to present a final project to senior management, which was a great learning experience. My mentor and manager was always willing to help out and were open to giving advice. From what I heard from talking to analysts, Target provides a pretty good work/life balance when compared to other companies. Target is also supportive of opportunities to network with colleagues from different areas of the firm and managers. The thing I liked best about Target however, is how it is so involved with community service and is extremely supportive of communicty service opportunities.

Cons

I have no complaints for the internship program. As for Target itself, it sometimes seemed like it had a very bureaucratic structure. You definitely have to slowly work your way up.

Pros

Good Work environment, friendly and team orientated. Average pay for backroom work. Solid discounts and training, not really a career unless you're involved at corporate level. The work was somewhat easy and enjoyable, however, the basic pay for a backroom employee isn't enough to be financially independent. A good company to start working at, however expect to be in it for the long haul if you want promotion

Cons

Starting at the bottom at Target well rarely payoff as it is a significantly long process to become a team leader.
