Pros

Overall, for a retail store job, it's a very clean and professional environment to work in. The managers were very professional and fair and gave a lot of feedback. Employees are given a lot of responsibilities and privileges right away, and thus don't need to have managerial approval for little things like removing an item from a receipt or making price changes as a result of customer claims. For those looking to have a career at Target, the promotional opportunities were very apparent. Healthcare seemed relatively reasonable too, and I believe the only requirement was to work for six months.

Cons

There is very little flexibility for vacation time. Retail store pay is not to make a living on, except at the highest level.

Pros

It is good motivation to get a degree so you are not stuck in a deadend job. I left there as soon as I had a chance at higher pay. You do work hard, but it is a job that anyone can be taught to do as long as they are moderately intelligent

Cons

If you have no degree or you dont know someone you wont go far. Some employees have been there for years and they could be there for twelve years, and never will get to a salary or even hourly position. They talk like everyone as a chance, to make it, but it's not true
