Pros

The peers that you work with tend to become like family to you. Some of the best resources in the retail market.

Cons

Some of the District management is not the best with working with people. Senior management really need to take Executives to the side and really talk to them. If a person goes over the District manager's head for some reason it seems like that person end up on corrective action not long after that. If people at the group level really likes this person then nothing is going to be done no matter if a group of people complain or one person.

Pros

They offer a lot of compensation: education reimbursement, adoption assistance, extending health benefits to domestic partners, as well as the usual 401K and pension. There are a host of different shifts to fit in your personal life. The discount is okay, only 10% but we get advanced notice of sales and first dibs on the clearance (hello 75% off seasonal!)

Cons

OMG, how many red shirt do I own??? The dresscode kind of sucks, but at least I don't have to wear a suit everyday. The atmosphere can kind of be political, like, you have to be in with the executives and district people to even be considered for a promotion.

Pros

The location of the store is close to my home, so for me travel time is the plus.

Cons

I did not receive an increase in pay for 3 years. I was told that I was maxed out as a team member, so no raise was possible. But this year I received an increase of 18 cents. Also, right after that my hours were cut in half, so I feel that I never finish my work. I feel that I am being rushed, I am told that is is because they do not have hours to give out, not due to my performance. I don't understand how they spend so much on TV and print ads and car races etc., but will not give a cost of living increase to cover the increase they make us pay each year for any health insurance. So, as a result I no longer have health insurance with my employer..
