Pros

Good pay if you work in the right department. Friendly co-workers. Free food occasionaly. I also enjoyed how easy the actual work was.

Cons

The upper management has no idea what they are doing. The customers can be very rude and talk down to you.

Pros

The only good thing I can think of about working at target was the discount card. Nothing else stands out.

Cons

The worst thing was that they pay really bad and it's boring. After that, the worst thing is that they don't respect the hours you request and give you more (at least where I worked). I know some of the managers were irritated that they brought in inexperienced college kids and had them run the place while they were in their 30s and they had to take orders from kids even with more experience.

Pros

Target has a great company culture. Employees are treated well, and there are good management opportunities with the company on the retail side, as well as compensation is satisfactory.

Cons

The farther stores are away from headquarters, the less attention they get from headquarters. This means that it can be very chancy how well a store operates.
