Pros

None- I guess other than the salary they lure you in with

Cons

Overworked. underpaid. HIGH turnover. HIGH HIGH HIGH turnover. 2 weeks into my employment, they had let go 4 people in my role. Building was open for about 6-7 years when I arrived. Some hourly team members had gone through 30 managers. Think about that for a minute. Have stayed in touch with some people from building since I have left- close to 75% turnover in management in a year.

Pros

Obviously everyone's experiences are different, there are a lot of variables. The pros I list pertain to the Outbound department. As long as you're hired into a warehouse position you make a starting wage, currently of $17.24 with a top out of around $21. Its a full 40 hour work week with opportunities for overtime, and in certain times mandatory overtime of 12 hour shifts. You receive your check weekly versus every two weeks, which has multiple benefits. The management has been kind and accommodating, and the team members generally work as a team. The work is very physical and results in a lot of turn overs, you earn your pay. The insurance isn't the greatest but its better than nothing and has proven useful to myself.

Cons

It is a very physical work environment. Not everyone can realistically work for a Target DC due to it primarily being physical labor. Loading trailers, picking items, throwing material onto conveyors. To get a first shift position you must be with the company for a period of time as it primarily works on seniority as to who can get those hours. Overtime does become mandatory at certain times of the year such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, other major shopping times.
