Could be worse

Pros

Most of my co-workers/handful of leaders are cool, close to home, generally nice looking store, guests are generally nice and respectful.

Cons

Understaffed most days, some leaders can be unnecessarily mean/rude, inconsistent hours, unrealistic expectations/goals, too many weird rules, pay could be better.

Pros

-Decent hourly pay -Benefits for both part time and full time -EEO -Solid company culture foundation on which to build, with legitimate potential for being an exceptional company to work for, if and ONLY if, the top priorities were to be shifted from performance stats and "numbers" to human interaction and healthy workplace dynamic, but definitely NOT until then.

Cons

-Observed a recent mass exodus of team members, which given my personal experience of leadership attitude and store operations makes complete and rational sense -Speed is prioritized over EVERYTHING and everyone to the utter detriment of actual quality of work, accuracy, and store-wide employee morale. (For example: Easily 50% of merchandise is in the wrong spot on the sales floor which is absurd since that's also easily 50% if not more, of the entire job. But people are rushing strenuously to get things out quickly and "complete" tasks in order to appease visibly and tangibly stressed leaders rather than taking the time to do things properly) -Leadership does NOT handle stress/pressure well, and frankly, individuals should not be in such positions of entire-team management if thoroughly unable to recognize, and respond appropriately (both in action and words) with optimism and encouragement, in scenarios when it is simply, unrealistic for a particular goal to be met given available (or lack thereof) resources/workers, however hard they push, rather than infecting the rest of the team with their discontentedness, stress, and negativity as seems to be the theme, which consequentially ultimately contributes to an ever growing void in resources(workers willing to stay). -There's also consistently a subtle but very present egocentric, "what I'm doing is far more important than what you're doing, so I can't be bothered to help you" vibe among coworkers, or when one is willing it's often with angst, which is "highly dysfunctional" dynamic at best.

It is what it is

Pros

Descent pay, and some pretty cool co-workers.

Cons

Upper management just isn't it. There isn't much flexibility offered when it comes to changing availability due to school schedules. Finding items for online orders can be a lot more difficult than it should be because of disorganization or incorrect inventory counts.
