Working every other weekend and extended hours during tax season. However, the overtime pay is always nice!

The pay is competitive with local employers and is the best in the industry. The bonuses and company-funded vacations are amazing. This company invests in the employees, funding additional college coursework.

Cons

Tax season is busy, but is still not difficult.

Pros

TaxSlayer's company culture is unmatched. If you share a work hard, play hard mentality, you will fit right in. There is minimal drama in the office and everyone goes above and beyond to help each other out. Management doesn't feel the need to micromanage their employees and treats them as equals. The location is amazing, especially if you enjoy the outdoors. Salary and benefits are very good for the area and give more than enough spending power.

Cons

Work/Life balance can be somewhat tricky to maintain during tax season but the relaxed summer season makes up for it. If you can handle longer hours and tighter deadlines for part of the year, you'll be fine.
