Pros

I have work remotely with a great work-home balance. Which is perfect, having 3 children to watch grow up. The team I work with, is amazing though most of us live states away from each other. I have many thanks to all I've got to learn. There hardly ever is a dull moment.

Cons

Over the years as the pay has increase in other companies, I saw hardly any change in my pay. I have a partner that does a fraction what my position asks of me, and gets compensated extremely fair for what they do. I believe last year was my largest raise at 11%, but it really doesn't even put me above local positions with way less demanding knowledge base, skill set, and work loads. The only thing that has made this work otherwise, was the many positives I found in my work-home balance as a remote developer for the last 7 years. Recently with a months notice, I was told we needed to return to office 3 days a week if were within 45 miles of a office facility around the country. Well out of my whole team of 10 people, me and another were close enough to meet this requirement. This is entirely uncalled for and unsettling, With such short notice, and seemingly unfair treatment with this rule I feel it's time to consider whats next? As this rule has me feeling it's not worth staying here with everything else they ask of me and what I get in return.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for your dedication to Taylor Corporation. We truly value your contributions and are grateful for your commitment to our company. We understand your concerns regarding compensation and the recent changes to our remote work policy. We strive to ensure that our compensation packages are competitive and fair. Your feedback about pay disparities and the impact of the return-to-office policy is important to us. Regarding the return-to-office policy, we acknowledge that the transition can be challenging. Our intention is to foster collaboration and maintain a strong team dynamic. We provided a month's notice to help ease this transition, but we recognize that this may still be difficult for some employees. We will continue to work on improving our communication and decision-making processes to ensure that all employees feel valued and heard. Thank you once again for your feedback. We are committed to making Taylor Corporation a great place to work and appreciate your input as we strive to improve.
